The story behind the story
As a little girl, I spent hours in the pine forest creating miniature, detailed environments for make-believe creatures.
I didn't have language for it then, but I understood something very early:
Environment matters.
The details matter.
Together, they become the experience itself.
About the Journey
In 2019 I traveled through
Scandinavia and Finland to explore something I had been drawn to for years:
The Nordic relationship with nature, ritual, simplicity, and the spaces in between.
However, the journey began long before that. From the miniature forest creations to my work in music, theater, communications and global human relief I saw the way environment, sequence and process shape what is expressed, what is received, what surrounds us, how an experience unfolds, and what happens in the spaces between.
About the founder
My story began surrounded by Nordic culture, sauna, and pine forests. Long before I had language for it, I was aware that environment and detail shape experience.
As my travel and stage work came to a halt when motherhood brought me home, I began to see those four walls differently—as an environment where I could nurture six happy, healthy humans, and through them, affect the world.
Owning a restaurant with my chef husband, gave me the joy of shaping an environment where our community gathered to share his food, our music, and their celebrations.
The thread continued through design studies and ultimately massage and bodywork. I became aware of an even deeper form of communication—the relationship between the body, its systems, its environment, movement, touch, challenge and recovery.
Across every chapter, a philosophy was taking shape:
